HDR Japan

Pictures of Japan. Japan comprises over three thousand islands, the largest of which are Honshk, HokkaidM, Kykshk and Shikoku, together accounting for 97% of land area. Most of the islands are mountainous, and many volcanic. Japanâ€™s highest peak, Mount Fuji, is a volcano. Japan has the world's tenth largest population, with about 128 million people. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the capital city of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents.

Japanese Samurai Warrior

Japanese Samurai Warrior HDR image that was tonemapped and corrected using Photomatix. This samurai warrior armor is authentic and dates back more than 400 years. This Samurai Warrior was a participant in the Fuji Martial Arts expo of 2007 where this picture was taken.

Okinawa Japan

Images from Japan's Okinawa Prefecture. Okinawa Japan Located between Kyushu and Taiwan, Okinawa is the largest island in Okinawa Prefecture. Although part of Japan, Okinawa has it's own unique legacy, spoken language, and influencing culture. The people of Okinawa are descendants of the Ryukyus who had ties with both Japan and China. Okinawa has the most beautiful beaches in all of Japan and the many islands that make up the prefecture boast some of the most abundant coral reefs found in the world.
