Hi I was planning to upload some HDR images but then I read the following:

Members can upload and contribute images to the HDR Photo gallery. Images that are not HDR or Pseudo HDR in styling (tonemapped) will be removed from the picture gallery. Please upload non-HDR images to your member profile.

My question is:
Is it okay for me to upload HDR pictures but they were not taken in Japan?

I'll make a category for World HDR photos. When you upload to the main gallery just select that category.

Do you have a large selection from a particular area? If so maybe I could make a subcategory under "World HDR Photos" for your region.

That sounds great, I'm kind of new to HDR Photography so I don't have an awful lot of them.

I think for now I will just categorize them under 'World HDR Photos'and maybe if I have more it would be useful to have a 'sub-category'.

That's fine, I think most people are what you would classify as "new" to HDR photography, we're all learning.

Ah yeah I think you're right about that one, there aren't many "veteran" HDR photographers out there since it is somewhat a new technique. At least for the masses

Welcome to hdr Japan then. I am actually in Japan, Okinawa to be precise. If you click on your profile you will see that you have an email inbox where you can receive messages. I sent you a message concerning the images that were being uploaded.

I think do do wonderful work with your photography, but the gallery is for pseudo-hdr (raw tonemapped), or full high dynamic range images (shown as 8-bit). Under your user profile you have an image gallery for any photos you wish to upload.

Interesting, don't get yourself in trouble now.

Could I ask you to unpublish your images and move them to your personal profile when you have a chance later please? Maybe you can shoot some HDR photos of your country and add them to the shared HDR gallery. Wah yes I'm at work too , lunch break though! So time to check on HDRJAPAN... Ah yes I'd like to see some HDR from Dubai.
You could always send me the RAW files and I'll make a pseudo hdr
