The exercise DVD "Billy's BootCamp" reached third spot on a list of hit products and services in the first half of 2007, Japanese advertising giant Dentsu Inc. announced, highlighting the DVD's huge popularity in Japan.

The exercise product followed flat-screen televisions and new-model home video game consoles, which respectively took first and second places on the top-10 list of hit products chosen by consumers.

"Billy's BootCamp" is a rigorous exercise program developed by American instructor Billy Blanks, incorporating military-style exercises. It became popular in Japan through a mail-order program, and in July total sales topped 1 million copies.

The DVD was the only product on the top-10 list to appear as a single unit. Other products included horse-riding exercise machines in fourth place and brain-training video game software in 10th place. Below is the full list:
