Ivica Osim, former manager of Japan's national soccer team, has been discharged from a hospital where he was undergoing rehabilitation for a stroke, the Japan Football Association announced Tuesday. The 66-year-old former manager is set to continue rehabilitation through hospital visits once or twice a week after returning to his home in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, officials said. Osim was hospitalized in November last year, and was moved to a Tokyo hospital specializing in rehabilitation in December. The football association said Osim gave a message to supporters and soccer officials as he was released from hospital, thanking them for their support and encouragement.
