High school model Aoi Nakabeppu climbed into the top spot in the Mainichi's Japanese-language entertainment section for the week Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, when she was chosen to be Toray's swimsuit campaign girl for 2008. The 17-year-old model appeared in the rankings alongside actress Miho Yoshioka, 27, who made her first media appearance since giving birth a year ago, and celebrity Emiri Nakayama, who showed off a wedding dress with a ring and tiara priced at a stunning 110 million yen. The Kumamoto-born teen is attending a high school in Tokyo as she carries out her modeling work. Actress Miho Yoshioka, who plays a part in the Japanese version of Disney's animated film "Ratatouille," appeared at the film's DVD launch on Nov. 1, making her entrance in a vehicle dubbed Remy's Ratatouille." Celebrity Emiri Nakayama also made the news when she turned up at a function put on by jewelry brand Trecenti, wearing a wedding dress with a tiara and ring priced at a total of roughly 110 million yen. During the event, Nakayama confessed she just wants an old-fashioned married life. Newlywed actresses Shin Yazawa and Erika Yamakawa turned up the saccharine as they appeared at a Christmas cake tasting session during the week and talked about their first Christmases in married life. Two other figures snaring attention were celebrity Otoha and comedian Takashi Fujii, who welcomed the birth of their baby daughter.
