TOYOOKA, Hyogo -- Officials of the Hyogo Prefectural Homeland for the Oriental White Stork released three birds raised in captivity into the wild on Saturday. The three storks -- two 1-year-old males and a 2-year-old female -- were set free at a field in Toyooka, to join 14 other storks also released by the center, which plans to release two other birds on Sunday.
