NAGOYA -- A female jockey has sued a trainer at her former stable, accusing him of sexually harassing her, it emerged Saturday.

The jockey, 24-year-old Akane Yamamoto, filed a suit with the Nagoya District Court demanding 5.5 million yen in compensation from the 48-year-old racehorse trainer.

According to her lawsuit, the man stripped naked in front of her in the living quarters of his racing stable in Nagoya in January this year, and urged her to do the same. Yamamoto also accuses the trainer of hugging her on numerous occasions.

The trainer has declined to comment on the details of the incident, but admitted that he had stripped naked in front of the plaintiff.
