KONOSU, Saitama -- A 15-year-old boy was slightly injured after being slashed by a man on the right wrist on a street here earlier this week, police said. At about 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, the third-year junior high school boy was riding a bicycle when a man suddenly slashed his right wrist as they passed each other on a municipal road in Konosu, local police said. The man fled the scene. The boy went home and reported the incident to his parents and then to the school. His mother subsequently reported the case to local police. Police are searching for the man, who the victim said was about 170 centimeters tall.
