SAGAMIHARA, Kanagawa -- A man arrested Friday for burying his father's body on a mountain here has admitted to having murdered the victim, police said. Yoko Nomura, 26, an employee of a bento shop living in Sagamihara, stands accused of abandoning his father's body. "I murdered my father at my home and brought his body to the mountain by car," he was quoted as telling investigators. Local police found that a life insurance policy was taken out on the victim, 61-year-old Kazuo Nomura. Investigators are questioning Nomura over the motives behind his crime. Nomura buried Kazuo's body on a mountain in Sagamihara in early July this year, local police said. Investigators arrested him after they found the victim's body at the scene late Thursday night.
