MOTOBU, Okinawa -- A man drowned while snorkeling in the sea off an Okinawa Prefecture island, police said. Yasuhiro Yasuda, 50, a company employee from Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture, was found by his 49-year-old wife floating face-down in the sea off Sesoko Island in Mobobu at around 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, according to local police. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead about 80 minutes later. Investigators suspect that Yasuda drowned while snorkeling. Yasuda had arrived in Okinawa on Friday last week with his wife and two other relatives. Copyright 2005-2006 THE MAINICHI NEWSPAPERS. All rights reserved.
