Man kidnapped from Nagoya love hotel, robbed PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 02 October 2007

NAGOYA -- A man was lured into a Nagoya love hotel before suddenly being attacked, kidnapped and robbed early Tuesday, police said.

The man was punched and dragged out of the hotel by three male assailants, who drove him around the streets of Nagoya before stealing his rucksack containing 28,000 yen in cash and then finally releasing him.

Police said they continue searching for the three men involved in the case, as well as for the woman who entered the love hotel with the victim, who has not been seen since he was snatched away.

She met the 38-year-old company employee from Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, at a telephone dating club and they agreed to go to a love hotel in Naka-ku. They were talking when a man suddenly burst into the room, punched the company employee in the face and dragged him outside to a waiting car, where another two men were waiting. They drove the company man around before letting him go.

Police said the company employee described his assailants as being in their 20s to 30s, while the man who punched him was about 165 centimeters tall and pudgy.
