Man throttles mother for annoying him about not working PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 April 2008

TOKAI, Aichi -- A man was arrested Wednesday for strangling his mother because she kept nagging him about not having a job, police said.

Koichi Hisano, 26, was arrested for the murder of his 56-year-old mother, Kayoko.

Hisano admits to the allegations.

"She kept nagging me every day about not having a job, so I figured our house would be better off if mom wasn't around," he told the police.

Police said early Wednesday morning Hisano punched his mother in the face, then strangled her with a power cord. He dragged her body from a first floor room into the garage of the family home and covered it with a blanket.

He then rang the police, telling them he had killed his mother a few hours earlier. Officers arrived on the scene, found the body and arrested Hisano after he admitted killing her, police said.

Hisano and his mother shared their home with his father, grandmother and a sister. The other members of the family were asleep in the home at the time of the alleged killing.
