The Ministry of Finance has hired a former employee of advertising giant Dentsu as its public relations director, the ministry announced on Monday. Yoshio Masuda, 48, who worked for Dentsu for over a decade, started serving as the ministry's director for public relations planning and coordination on Monday. His contract is for two years. The ministry has already recruited 12 employees from private companies, including a financial institution, but it is the first time that it has done so through public recruiting. "Mr. Masuda is suitable for the position in which he has to explain state finance and tax systems in a simple manner to the public," said a representative of the ministry.
