Two men accused of pack raping a Tokyo woman have been fired from their jobs at the Ministry of Finance, ministry officials said. Tomoaki Kondo, 34, and Yuki Hirose, 29, were summarily dismissed from their positions in the ministry. Kondo and Hirose have been released from custody with authorities having made no decision about their fate, but the ministry decided to fire them anyhow. "The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office recognizes there was an actual case of gang rape," a ministry official said, explaining the decision to dismiss the men even though they have not been found guilty yet of any crime. The two men are accused of taking turns to rape a woman in a Tokyo apartment in February.
