Nippon Television Network (NTV) has been flooded with about 1,000 complaints about its decision not to air a professional baseball game on Tuesday night in which the Yomiuri Giants won the Central League pennant, company officials said.

Instead, a satellite television station affiliated with NTV broadcast the game between the Giants and the Yakult Swallows at Tokyo Dome. Public broadcaster NHK also aired the game on its satellite channel, BS-1.

The Giants won the Central League championship by beating the Swallows 5-4 in Tuesday's game.
