KAWASAKI -- An old-age pensioner who has admitted to killing his older sister and burying her body at a farm because he was unable to care for her was arrested Saturday, police said. Takayuki Kosugi, 63, the pensioner, was arrested for the illegal disposal of the body of his 65-year-old sister, Hiroko Yuhara, and police are likely to try and charge him for her murder. He has told investigators that he killed his sibling. "I strangled her in the car," police quoted Kosugi as saying. Police said Kosugi buried his sister's body at a peanut farm alongside the Sagami River in Zama, Kanagawa Prefecture, on or about Sept. 11. During a search for Yuhara on Friday and Saturday, part of her skeletal remains were found in the farm. Police are currently conducting an autopsy on the old woman's body. Kosugi, who described himself and his sister as "old and frail," has told police that he was no longer able to take care of her. Kosugi has lived in Yuhara's Kawasaki home since April this year. Yuhara's home is located in a residential area about 900 meters north of Musashi-Shinjo Station on the JR Nanbu Line. Yuhara's neighbors said that Kosugi had voiced concerns about his sister some two weeks ago. "He said his sister was sick and he wanted to take her to the hospital, but she didn't want to go and he didn't know what to do," the neighbor said.
