NARITA AIRPORT -- A man who faxed a handwritten bomb threat to blow up planes at Narita Airport has been arrested, police said. Yuki Yoda, 34, a company employee from Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, was arrested for forcible obstruction of business. He admits to the allegations. "I only did it as a prank," police quoted him as saying. Police said that on the afternoon of April 1, Yoda obstructed business at Narita Airport by faxing a handwritten message to the Chiba Prefectural Government, saying that he planned to set off a bomb at Tokyo's main international gateway. "I've set up a bomb at Narita Airport. The planes are risky. It'll blow up at 5 o'clock. Hurry up and find it. This is no joke," police quoted parts of Yoda's letter as allegedly saying. Prefectural officials contacted the airport and police after the fax was received at 3:19 p.m. that day and security was tightened until about 11 p.m., when the final scheduled flight took off.
