ONOJO, Fukuoka -- A yakuza gunman suspected of mistakenly shooting a Saga hospital patient in the belief he was a rival gang member has tested positive for amphetamine use, police said. Fumio Imada, 61, the Dojinkai yakuza syndicate gang boss currently under arrest for breaking the Firearms and Swords Control Law, gave a urine sample that showed traces of stimulants. Police from the Fukuoka and Saga prefectural forces believe Imada was probably a regular drug user before the Nov. 8 fatal shooting of the hospital patient. Police continue investigating Imada.
