SHIBUKAWA, Gunma -- A 17-year-old scaffolding worker was arrested Thursday for stabbing his former boss to death here after they got into an argument, police said. The youth, whose name is being withheld under the Juvenile Law, stands accused of murdering Yuji Akaishi, 24, a resident of Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture. Investigators suspect that trouble erupted between the suspect and the victim over debts. The suspect stabbed Akaishi several times with a kitchen knife at around 1 a.m. on Thursday after getting into a brawl at the apartment of their female acquaintance in Shibukawa, local police said. Akaishi died shortly afterwards. Copyright 2005-2006 THE MAINICHI NEWSPAPERS. All rights reserved.
