A train on the Tokyo Monorail failed to make a scheduled stop at a station on Sunday afternoon and stopped at a station it should have passed, the railway operator said. The rapid train bound for Haneda Airport from Hamamatsucho, driven by a 38-year-old driver, passed Oi Keibajo-mae Station, where it was scheduled to make a stop, at 12:50 p.m. on Sunday because of his mistake, Tokyo Monorail officials said. The driver noticed his mistake when he stopped the train at the next stop, Ryutsu Center Station. He then stopped his train at the following Showajima Station, which it was scheduled to pass, after he panicked, according to officials.
