Woman's skeletal remains found in traveling bag PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 02 June 2008

SHIOYA, Tochigi -- Skeletal remains believed to belong to a woman have been found in a traveling bag dumped on the side of a road here, police said.

The remains were clad in women's underwear, a black skirt and a blackish shirt, while the long hair on the body also adds to the likelihood the victim was a woman.

Police said a man cleaning trash from the side of a road on Sunday morning moved an abandoned sofa and found the black travel bag with castor wheels sealed with adhesive tape. The man alerted the police.

The body was found on a road in a forest area about 9 kilometers southwest of the Yaita interchange on the Tohoku Expressway.

Police continue investigating the case.
