OMUTA, Fukuoka -- The man who fatally gunned down a yakuza member in an Omuta parking lot over the weekend drove a getaway vehicle with stolen plates aimed at making it harder to find him, police said. The man, described as being about 30 and wearing a cap and sunglasses at the time of the Saturday morning killing, was seen fleeing the scene by car. The license plate on the car, however, was not the one that had been registered with the vehicle. The man is wanted in connection with the shooting death Saturday of Shigeki Koga, 52, a gang boss associated with the Kyushu Seidokai yakuza syndicate. Police said they believe Koga's death to have been part of an internecine underworld war between the Dojin-kai and Kyushu Seidokai, two of the southern island's biggest yakuza gangs.
