YOKOHAMA -- A drunk man who celebrated Coming-of-Age Day on Monday has been arrested after jumping on the hoods of two taxies, local police said.
Kenji Kobayashi, 20, an unemployed man from Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, stands accused of damaging property. He denied the allegations.
"I know nothing about the incident. I'm not involved in it," Kobayashi was quoted as telling investigators during questioning.
Kobayashi jumped on the hoods of two taxies parked in the Shin-Yokohama district of Kohoku-ku, at around 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, denting them, investigators said.
Kobayashi drank at a pub near the scene with more than 10 friends after attending a Coming-of-Age Day ceremony on Monday. He allegedly jumped on the taxies immediately after leaving the pub.
